Lucy
Fine partners with managers, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators
and health professionals toward meeting their personal and professional
goals. Her work is co-creative and collaborative. She coaches
individuals, designs workshops, and provides consulting and teleconferencing
that relates to organizational strategy, innovation and change.
Lucy has 25 years experience training, teaching and facilitating
groups. Her experience and expertise is in creating successful
and satisfying organizational systems and communities. Lucy supports
group members in developing clear role relationships and goals,
and establishing norms that work for everyone. She is also expert
in conflict management and holistic health practices applied to
organizations. Her "inside-out" approach focuses on how the person
transforms to become a member of the "group-as-a-whole".
Lucy began her career as a healthcare educator and community organizer
by leading "self-health" skill building groups. She has taught
courses at the undergraduate and graduate level and currently
supervises medical school residents to facilitate successful groups.
As a registered nurse she served indigent populations in the areas
of birthing and dying. She worked on the first AIDS unit in the
US and, as a nurse-midwife, coached women throughout their pregnancy
and birthing.
Lucy is experienced in the areas of labor law practices, contract
negotiations, grievance facilitation, public relations and financial
management and has worked in building and coordinating "wrap around"
health services offering technical assistance to working collaboratives
in the public schools.
Lucy has practiced as a psychotherapist for the past 18 years
and as a professional coach for the past 3 years. She has worked
with a variety of organizations including Special Olympics Northern
California, for which she led workshops in team building and leadership
skills as well as coached managers and executives. She has also
coached executives at PBSJ (a multinational engineering firm),
Deloitte Consulting, and Industry Standard. She holds a Master's
degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from JFK University.
Lucy is a clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry,
School of Medicine at UCSF, is licensed as a Marriage Family Therapist
and as a Registered Nurse, and is a Certified Professional Coach.
